"Memorials is an excellent album...."

I can't remember if I emailed you this already, but it bears saying twice if I did: Memorials is an excellent album. I (and I am not alone) really appreciate the time and effort you put into opening our eyes not just to different stories, but also to themes such as signs and memorials. Your music running through my head is a blessed reminder to continually dwell upon God's goodness and grace to us. I especially like Judah and Jewel's song and the song about Jericho (if I had the album in front of me I would use the song titles). We are trying to expand your listenership amongst our circles for these very reasons.

May God continue to bless you and your family as you serve Him this way,

"Family never hesitates to pop any one of [the kids' albums] into the stereo...."

Jamie, Great work with Memorials! I've listened to it many times over as I do a lot of driving for work. Now it's Trina and the girl's turn.

Listening to all four of your children's albums, I get the sense that they are growing up with your kids. "Good Advice" seems most suited for the youngest, then "The Way My Story Goes", "Up From Here", and finally "Memorials". The albums seem to progress in a natural way from a more basic level to a more mature vision of the biblical passages and themes they address.

This is very fitting as this is, I believe, the approach to take with teaching our children the Scriptures. We start with the basic stories and the rote commands/sayings. Then we "peel back" the layers to see a progressive revealing of deeper, less obvious or parallel themes and, well... layers. This seems to be the general pattern of your albums. And as with verbal teaching and reading of Scripture, the further and more subtle layers won't make any or at least as much sense if we don't already know the basics of the plot and story line. Your albums build on each other progressively like a child's biblical education ought to.

I have a hard time saying that any one album is the best. I think it really depends on where you are at in your biblical education. If I where a three year old (a stretch for me to imagine), I might very well say "Good Advice" was my favorite. If a seven year old, perhaps "Story". If ten, maybe "Up". But as a big kid, I really like the depth of "Memorials". Perhaps I've only clued in to your master scheme with these albums, but that is my read of them.

All that said, our growing family never hesitates to pop any one of them into the stereo. Thanks again, Soles family. Blessings,

"Can't stop playing it!"

We just received your CD "Up from Here" as a gift two weeks ago and now it is stuck in the Cd player of our car :) .

Seriously, our whole family can't stop playing it. My 2 year old says "Do it again!" after every song. Thank you for making quality music that teachs us about the amazing God we serve! It has been great to have my 3 boys excited to hear about the stories the songs were taken from. Your CD has encouraged us greatly!

Equally appreciated by mother and children

I currently own two of your children's CD's...The Way my Story Goes and Good Advice. My children are 2 and 4 and they appreciate your music as much as I do. We live in Orangeville Ontario and if you are ever in our area we will be attending your concerts. :)
